Tottenham snatch win over Liverpool after Matip's own goal

It doesn’t get much more dramatic than Tottenham Hotspur’s victory over Liverpool on Saturday.

Liverpool battled defiantly after being reduced to nine men, but an own goal by Joel Matip deep into injury gifted Tottenham a 2-1 victory and three valuable points in front of a delirious home crowd.

Matip’s unlucky 96th-minute clearance attempt ended up helping Tottenham leapfrog Liverpool into second place.

More to come.
